Having left St John in 1972 I joined Stockton Sea Cades as Petty Officer Instructor. I later was appointed to the Royal Naval Reserve (SCC) and became Lieutenant (SCC) Alan Caig RNR. I became the Commanding Officer of Stockton Sea Cadets, TS Fortitude. This photo is me leading the cadets at the Stockton on Tees Remembrance Day parade in about 1980. I was awarded the Cadet Forces Medal.
